Introducing the brand new Eco-Fiber Pool Cartridge!

Inspired by our Eco-Fiber filter media which is an excellent replacement for traditional sand filter media, we bring you the Eco-Fiber Cartridges.

Our Eco-Fiber Filter Cartridge is here to make your life easier and your pool cleaner.

Why do you need to filter pool water?

The filter and pump are the central system of your pool’s circulation. The main purpose of the filter is to remove debris from your pool water so you can have a clean, sparkling pool to swim in all year round. Without it your pool water can end up full of debris and bacteria, cloudy and even make you sick.
The pool pump circulates the water and pushes it into the filter where small debris particles are removed through depth or surface filtration before the clean water travels back to the pool.

Efficiency and Performance

If you are looking for a highly efficient solution with the least amount of bacteria and debris left swimming around in your pool, the cartridge filter is your best solution.

The cartridge filter can catch finer debris than a sand filter, being 10-20 microns versus 20-40 microns.

A micron is short for “micrometre”, meaning a millionth of a metre, so we are talking about some very fine debris.

Here’s an easy-to-understand example: Both sand and cartridge filters will catch debris such as beach sand and fine grit, but only the cartridge filter will catch finer debris like talcum powder and mould spores.

Unlike sand filters, cartridge filters do not require backwashing, allowing for water savings of up to 92% or thousands of litres. To put this into perspective, this equates to around 60 loads of laundry!

Another bonus of a cartridge filter not requiring a backwash or multiport valve is energy savings. Because there is less water flow restriction than that of a sand filter, there is less demand on the pump, creating a lower rate of energy consumption, and less wear and tear on your pump.

CLEANING / MAINTENANCE

Cleaning

Traditional Cartridges need to be cleaned every month to ensure they perform well. It usually takes about an hour to an hour and a half to effectively clean the cartridges. This involves taking them apart and cleaning all the elements, as well as using a special garden hose attachment to get into the fins or ridges of the filters.

Our EF Filter is an easy 3-step process

Un-Roll

Simply remove the filter from the PVC casing and unroll it on your lawn

Hose

Using a regular garden hose, spray the EF filter sheet and watch the dirt easily pull away from the lining. This takes anywhere from 5-10 minutes.

Re-Roll

Once clean, roll up the liner and pop it back into the PVC casing. And you’re done.

REPLACEMENT

When to Replace?

Traditional Cartridges

need to be replaced every 12 months because the filter lining starts to break down over the 12 month period and the 1-2 hour monthly cleaning.

Our EF Cartridge

will live on for over 12 months with the monthly cleaning.

Our test filter is still running well after 18 months with no visible breakdown at this point.
